Overview
The Unicel C-7430 is a pleated polyester cartridge filter element engineered for the Jacuzzi TC330 Tri-Clops filter system, providing 110 sq ft of effective filtration area through a high-pleat-count Reemay nonwoven polyester media pack. Construction features ABS injection-molded end caps with a closed bottom and open-flow top configuration, seated on a structural PVC core sized for the TC330 manifold standpipe. Nominal filtration efficiency is rated at 20 microns under standard test conditions, with continuous service rated to 104°F and operating pressures to 50 PSI consistent with the Tri-Clops housing pressure envelope. The 110 sq ft area provides substantial dirt-holding capacity, extending service cycles in higher bather-load residential and light commercial installations.
Service interval recommendation: residential installations — pressure-differential-based replacement triggered at ΔP ≥ 8–10 PSI above clean-filter operating baseline, or on an annual calendar cycle, whichever occurs first. For light commercial applications, follow a 30–90 day service cycle with documented ΔP logging per local health code requirements. Rinse every 4–6 weeks; chemical soak with TSP or enzyme cleaner every 3–6 months to remove oils and binder residues. Calcium scale removal is compatible with muriatic acid soak at 1:20 dilution (20 minutes maximum exposure), followed by thorough fresh-water rinse before reinstallation. Polyester media tolerates continuous service at ≤ 10 ppm free available chlorine; enzyme cleaners are compatible without restriction. Verify clean-baseline pressure on the housing gauge post-installation. Standard Unicel 90-day manufacturer’s defect warranty applies through authorized distribution.
