The Unicel C-4625 is a pleated polyester spa cartridge filter element providing 25.0 sq ft of filtration area in a 4-15/16-inch OD, 2-1/8-inch ID, 8-inch length form factor with a closed-bottom, open-top end-cap configuration. Media construction utilizes Reemay nonwoven spunbond polyester at a 20-micron nominal filtration threshold, supported by a PVC core for axial rigidity under spa-pump operating pressures (typical 5–15 PSI). End caps are ABS injection-molded with UV- and chemical-stabilized bond adhesive rated for continuous service at 104°F and intermittent excursions to 115°F. Pleat geometry is optimized for 25 GPM sustained throughput at minimum clean-pressure differential, delivering high dirt-holding capacity per cycle in residential spa and threaded-port in-line cartridge housings.
Service-interval recommendation for spa duty: fresh-water rinse every 2–4 weeks; chemical soak in dilute TSP or enzyme degreaser every 4–6 weeks to remove body oils, lotions, and surfactant residue that resist mechanical rinsing. Replace the cartridge at ΔP ≥ 5 PSI above clean-filter baseline, or at 12-month maximum service age for continuous-use spas — whichever occurs first. Chemical compatibility: continuous operation at ≤ 10 ppm free available chlorine or ≤ 30 ppm total bromine; muriatic acid wash compatible at 1:20 dilution (20-minute maximum soak) for calcium scale remediation, followed by full neutralizing rinse before reinstallation. Verify O-ring seating and confirm post-installation operating pressure against the clean baseline before returning the system to service.
