Overview
The Unicel C-7350 is a pleated polyester spa cartridge filter element providing 50.0 sq ft of filtration area, engineered as the direct replacement for the Caldera Spas 72827 OEM cartridge. Media construction is Reemay-grade nonwoven polyester with nominal 20-micron filtration efficiency, supported on a closed-core configuration with ABS injection-molded end caps in a closed-bottom, open-top (handle) geometry standard to the Caldera filter housing family. The element is rated for continuous service at spa-application temperatures up to 115°F, with intermittent excursions to 120°F per manufacturer testing. End cap bond chemistry is formulated for sustained immersion in sanitized spa water without delamination, and the pleat pack geometry is optimized for the low-pressure, high-frequency cycling typical of residential spa circulation systems.
Service interval recommendation for spa applications: fresh-water rinse every 2–4 weeks; chemical soak in dilute TSP or a dedicated enzyme/degreaser cartridge cleaner every 4–6 weeks to remove body oils, lotions, and surfactant residues that resist water rinsing alone. Replacement is recommended at 12-month intervals for typical residential use, or earlier when ΔP rises ≥ 5 PSI above the documented clean-filter baseline, when visible fabric degradation occurs, or when chemical cleaning fails to restore flow. Chemical compatibility: polyester media is rated for continuous service at ≤ 10 ppm free available chlorine or ≤ 30 ppm total bromine; muriatic acid soak at 1:20 dilution is compatible for calcium scale removal (20-minute maximum exposure, followed by thorough fresh-water rinse). Enzyme cleaners are compatible without restriction. Standard Unicel 90-day manufacturing defect warranty applies through authorized distribution.
