The Unicel C-7697 is a pleated polyester cartridge filter element configured for Harmsco SC and TC series commercial filter housings, providing 155 sq ft of filtration area in an extended-length single-element format. Media construction is Reemay nonwoven polyester at nominal 15-micron filtration efficiency, supported on a perforated polypropylene core sized for the Harmsco standpipe interface. Dimensional specifications: 7.875-inch OD, 4.0-inch ID, 30.5-inch length, with molded end caps featuring an open-top flow port and closed-bottom seating profile for axial compression mounting. End cap construction is rated for commercial operating pressures and elevated bather-load duty cycles characteristic of the Harmsco filter platform.
Service interval for commercial Harmsco applications: chemical clean cycle at 30–90 days depending on bather load and turnover rate; ΔP-triggered service at ≥ 8–10 PSI above clean-filter baseline. Maintain a filter pressure and replacement log consistent with commercial health code documentation requirements in the operating jurisdiction. Replacement criteria: pressure differential non-recovery after chemical cleaning, fabric tears, pleat channeling, or core deformation. Chemical compatibility: polyester media and end caps tolerate continuous service at ≤ 10 ppm free available chlorine; muriatic acid soak at 1:20 dilution is compatible for calcium scale removal (20-minute maximum exposure, thorough rinse before reinstallation); enzyme degreasers compatible without restriction for oil and surfactant removal. Standard Unicel 90-day manufacturing defect warranty applies through authorized distribution.
